As top wines go, this is up there with the very best! It is Susana Balbo's personal dedication to her family, her winemaking team, to Argentine wine and to Malbec.
Incredible concentration and fruit definition and, most amazingly, although this will happily improve in bottle for 10 - 15 years or more, it is absolutely delicious right now.
18 months in 100% new French oak barrels! In other words, after 9 months the wine is moved from one new barrel to another. Hmm! Anyway, it's gorgeous.

"A very rich, dense and velvety red. There is a fine expression of black fruit on the nose and palate, while the oak is beautifully integrated to make a very fine, powerful yet complex wine with at least a decade in front of it."

"The source of this, Susana Balbo's top Malbec, has shifted from Agrelo to the Uco Valley since 2010, showing finer tannins and more minerality on the palate. Sweet, yet fresh, with subtle oak and classic Uco colour, intensity and poise."
