Just a few years ago, really good Pinot Noir from Argentina was something of a novelty, and it was often very expensive. Happily those days are drifting slowly into memory with the advent of excellent wines like this.
A simple wine in many ways (and often the best wines are), but very true to the varietal with nice aromas of ripe red summer fruits and forest floor notes; light, fresh and juicy on the palate. It's from Patagonia, of course, widely regarded as the country's best source of Pinot.
"A Pinot with precision and beauty with strawberry, lemon and mango aromas and flavours. Hints of fresh tea. Medium to full body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.
93 / 100 James Suckling (2015 vintage)
